Reginald Willhite Jr. is the newest member of the Katz Group, joining Prudential with an eclectic background in professional athletics and medical industry consulting. After graduating from Yale University in 2012 with a degree in Political Science, Reginald had the opportunity to travel the world and play professional basketball, signing contracts in both Croatia and Germany. Once he made the decision to retire, Reginald pursued the medical industry where he spent the majority of his tenure as an orthopedic trauma medical device consultant. Within his geography, Reginald built a substantial consulting business, developing lasting relationships with surgeons and hospital staff. The position was truly rewarding but after getting married to his wife, Kari, their son, Krew, was born and the hectic on-call hours of the trauma operating room proved difficult to balance with having a family. Reginald set his sights on a new opportunity with Prudential, intent on having the same positive impact on the lives of individuals and their families that he did in the medical field. He has since obtained his Life & Health License in addition to his Series 7 and Series 66 registrations.
Reginald was a four-year member of Yale University men’s basketball team. He held the role of team captain, was awarded the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, and set the Yale all-time single season steals record. Reginald’s wife, Kari, finished her college career playing division one basketball for Quinnipiac University after winning back-to-back national junior college championships at Kirkwood CC in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She now works as the VP of sales for a boutique healthcare staffing firm and, in her private life, enjoys interior design. They have 3 boys, Krew and twins Kace and Koen. The family is still very passionate about basketball and overall fitness.
